How to Add or Change a Network in MetaMask

Learn how to add BNB Smart Chain to MetaMask and safely switch between available blockchain networks.

Add a network step by step

Open MetaMask, choose the network selector and verify the network details before approving the connection.

Open the MetaMask browser extension and unlock your wallet.

Before continuing, confirm that you are using the official extension.

Select the current network displayed at the top of the MetaMask interface.

In the network selection window, choose Add network.

Find BNB Smart Chain in the available network list.

Review the displayed network details and select Add.

Review the network name, RPC address, chain ID and currency symbol.

Select Approve only when the displayed values are correct.

BNB Smart Chain is now available in MetaMask.

Use the network selector to switch between Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain when required.
