How to add or change a network in the Metamask wallet
In this instruction, we will tell you how to change the network in the Metamask wallet. By default, this wallet uses the Ethereum network. Why do we switch between different networks? Users turn to different cryptocurrency blockchain networks due to high fee issues in Ethereum Mainnet. For example, Base Mainnet offers an alternative with lower gas fees, making it an attractive choice for some users. We can use Base Mainnet to issue ERC-20 tokens with lower gas fees, similar to Ethereum Mainnet, making the process more cost-effective.
Go to the Metamask wallet:
Next, we need to click on the Ethereum Mainnet network:
In the pop-up window, select '+ Add Network':
Next, choose the network you want to add to your wallet. In our case, we are adding Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Click 'Add':
Click the 'Approve' button:
Binance Smart Chain has been successfully added to your wallet! Now you can switch between Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain:
